Tokyu Land Indonesia’s 11th CSR Activity: “Walk for Autism” to Support Children with Autism

Jakarta, Indonesia, July 28th, 2024 – Tokyu Land Indonesia, a well-known Japanese developer, is proud to announce its latest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, “Walk for Autism,” a community event aimed at raising awareness and support for special needs children, particularly those with autism. The event was organized by Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nusantara.

With the inspiring theme “Every Step Counts,” Walk for Autism took place on July 28, 2024, at the Senayan Area in Jakarta, gathering 1,000 participants to walk together with children with autism. “Walk for Autism” was designed to bring together families, friends, and supporters of children with autism for a day of fun, solidarity, and advocacy. The event featured a 2.5 km fun walk, beginning at 06:35, followed by a series of activities including performances by individuals with autism, such as band performances, and educational booths providing information about autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

As the main organizer of the event, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Nusantara, shared their enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to partner with various companies for ‘Walk for Autism.’ This event not only raises crucial funds for our programs but also builds a more inclusive community where everyone is valued and supported.” The aim of this event is to create awareness in the community about autism, how to detect autism early, and how to deal with it optimally at an early stage. Additionally, the event seeks to foster acceptance from the community for children with autism and their families, helping them prepare their children to live independently in the future by providing the resources and support they need.
