Tokyu Land Indonesia Strengthens Commitment to Biodiversity Conservation through Orangutan Rehabilitation Program with BOS Foundation: Together, wesave orangutans, we save their habitats, and we protect the future.

Jakarta, December 2025 – PT Tokyu Land Indonesia (TLID) reaffirms its commitment to environmental sustainability and biodiversity conservation by launching a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative focused on Orangutans conservation in Kalimantan, in collaboration with the Borneo Orangutan Survival (BOS) Foundation. This initiative reflects TLID’s dedication to supporting the protection of endangered species and preserving Indonesia’s natural ecosystems as part of its long-term sustainability vision.

Employee Seminar on Orangutan Conservation

As part of the program, TLID organized an internal seminar for all employees entitled: “The Work of BOS Foundation: Save Orangutans, Save Their Habitats” The seminar was held on 5 December 2025 at the TLID Head Office and was delivered by CEO of BOS Foundation, Dr Jamartin Sihite. The session provided comprehensive insights into the challenges faced by Orangutans in the wild, ongoing conservation efforts, and the critical role of habitat protection. Through this seminar, TLID aims to foster greater awareness and shared responsibility among employees toward wildlife and environmental conservation, especially for Orangutans.

Volunteer Visit to BOS Conservation Area, Samboja Lestari

Continuing the initiative, TLID conducted a Volunteer Visit to the BOS Foundation conservation area at Samboja Lestari, Kalimantan, on 17–18 December 2025. TLID delegation consisted of the President Director, Corporate Director, and Human Resources Team several employees from the CSR-related departments. During the visit, the delegation observed orangutan rehabilitation activities firsthand, gained deeper understanding of animal care and forest school programs, and strengthened collaboration with the BOS Foundation team. This visit underscored TLID’s commitment to active engagement and long-term partnership in conservation efforts.

Orangutan Rehabilitation Sponsorship Program

As part of this CSR initiative, TLID has committed to support Healthy Orangutan Rehabilitation Program, sponsoring one orangutan under the care of BOS Foundation. The sponsored orangutan is Segi, a 6-year-old female orangutan currently undergoing rehabilitation. Segi was rescued in September 2021 after being found alone without her mother in Central Kalimantan. Following health assessments and rehabilitation, Segi has shown positive development and is now healthy, active, and progressing well in her forest skills training. Through this sponsorship, TLID contributes directly to Segi’s ongoing rehabilitation, healthcare, and preparation for the next stages of her development toward eventual release into the wild.

Commitment to Sustainable Development

Through collaboration with BOS Foundation, Tokyu Land Indonesia seeks to support long-term orangutan conservation, protect forest habitats, and promote biodiversity preservation in Indonesia. This CSR program also aligns with TLID’s commitment to sustainable development by integrating environmental responsibility into its corporate values. TLID believes that protecting orangutans also means safeguarding forest ecosystems, which are essential for maintaining environmental balance for future generations.
